Customization of RUP and UML for Library Software Development

The process of modeling and developing library  software with customized RUP (Rational Unified Process) and UML is presented, and its practicality is validated through the implementation of a library information management system based on B/S. The process is now being used for the development of a Chinese-Thesaurus-based Ontology KB Constructing and sharing system sponsored by National Social Science Foundation of China.
