Study on Scientific and Technical Information Retrieval Based on Domain Ontologies

Abstract  

This paper proposes a framework of domain Ontology-based scientific and technical information retrieval, and makes in-depth study on information organization and semantic retrieval. A prototype information retrieval system is also implemented. Via a series of retrieval effects tests, the domain Ontology-based retrieval system shows obvious advantages over the keyword-based system, and has an enormous potential of application.
