The Technological Features of Electronic Records Management Systems

Abstract  The three main objectives of designing and developing an ERMS are identified based on analyzing the relevant works. Then, the differences between ERMS and MIS are described. Further,the three underlying technologies for the control, providence and service of ERMS are proposed, and their basic features, key technologies, and main challenges are described by taking GB/T29194-2012,MoReq2 and DOD5015.2 as typical examples. Finally, the main principles which can provide guidelines for developing ERMS applications are proposed.
