Mashup of Library and Search Engine on Information Service

Abstract  

Mashup emerges as the universal reuse and integration of software and system in the Web 2.0. Since library users quest for more directly access to information and search engine attract more eyeballs in information retrieval,mashup of library and search engine may establish a win-win application on metadata sharing,information aggregation and channel sharing. Mashup framework and technical models are discussed for coherent information experience free of information overload. Suggestions about information aggregation and personalization are forward to refine the library service with mashup ideas.
