Study of Structure and Extended Rules in Descriptive Metadata

Metadata structure and extended rules are two keys while designing descriptive metadata. This study focuses on these two key problems, and illustrates the metadata basic structure, the composing elements and the extended rules according to the practice metadata standards of rare books, rubbings and atlases. It will enhance interoperability among the metadata standards for different resource objects that these problems are considered in metadata designing.
