Abstract

This article introduces the Dexter hypertext reference model,analyses th e model s three layers:storage layer,run-time layer and within-component layer,a nd the mechanisms of anchoring and presentation specification that form the inte rfaces between the storage layer and run-time layer,within-component layer.Then discusses the application of the Dexter model in the system of the information r etrieval.
