Abstract  

Library and information Services are faced with the challenges of the information superhighway and are undergoing great changes.The project of a worldwide information catalog and electronic libraries is being put into effect, and it brings deepgoing changes in the library and information science education.From the curriculum,contents and methods of the traditional courses to the essential meaning of the subject, all have initiated a change representing the characteristics of library and information science education in the 21st century.
