The conventional retrieval algorithm used directly the arithmetic expressions ignores its retrieval operation features and has the low searching efficiency.This paper presents a new method in which a query expression is expanded according to the rule of operation before it's executed .It will increase the efficiency because this method does not only reduce the number of operations but also abridge the temporary files in which the intermediate results to be stored.
