Research on Answer Format Regulation in Knowledge Base of Collaborative Virtual Reference System of Shanghai Library

Abstract  The paper firstly clarifies the meaning and significant of answer format regulation in knowledge base of collaborative virtual reference system of Shanghai Library, then makes an investigation of relative papers and practical situations home and abroad. It expounds the general thoughts on the answer format of that knowledge base from three levels, including defining format problem, establishing format standards, implementing and optimizing format standards. It also clarifies the existing problems by investigating the answer format situation, then formulates the standard, designs and realizes a toolbar plugin to optimize the answer format of that knowledge base.
