Portal management includes user management, resource management and system management. This paper emphasizes the control of role and authorization of user management and management method of various types of resources of resource management.

The authors propose a double auction-based method for grid resource management，and design a double auction-based grid scheduling model and describe the resource users, user agents, grid resource suppliers and local auction market of the model in view of the dynamic and heterogeneous nature of grid resources. Then the anthors put forward the double auction algorithm and resource scheduling strategy, which make the two transaction sides both gain the maximal resource use in the condition of incomplete information by consulting the game mechanism. Then with the help of Bayesian study， an optimization bidding strategy for double auction is derivated, which supplies useful references to adjusting dynamic load balancing efficiently and improving usage rate of system resources.
This paper firstly conducts an investigation and analysis on the development of the Web service of vocabulary knowledge at home and abroad by comparing OCLC terminology services, high level thesaurus, FAO multilingual agricultural thesaurus, STAR and OntoThesaurus terminology service. Then, the authors introduce the basic architecture, data model, function modules and the application model, interfaces encapsulation, deployment of the Chinese technological vocabulary system based on web services, together with its performance test. Finally, explore the prospect in our following research work.
This paper presents a new algorithm for text character extraction and dimension reduction based on the Max Term Contribution. Its main idea is computing the contribution of each term in the high dimension document-base and extracting the maximum contribution terms to construct a low dimension document-base from the high dimension document-base using the search algorithm. Then a modified K-means clustering method based on the Simulated Annealing (SA) is presented to cluster the low dimension document datum which is obtained by MTC. Finally, some experiments show that the new method can improve the cluster precision.
Aiming at the problem that the extration of topic information from Web page is not precise enough,this paper presents a new method of calculating the topic information of Web pages,which dividing the topic information of Web pages into three forms and using different quantization method for each. Based on the ideas above,the authors combine document object model with section thinking and present the IB-DOM model.Based on the idea of divide-and-conquer, first find the region which contains the topic information, then the irrelevant information is filtered out. The experimental results show that this approach can solve the contradiction between integrity and accuracy existing in the field of automatic extraction of topical information from Web pages betterly.
After a perceptive analysis of probabilistic characteristics of syntax composition especially POS matching of Chinese textual information, a system framework for Chinese term recognition and extraction based on dual layer HMM is presented and implemented. The method proposed shows a good performance in the tests with textual information from different domain, and the terms recognized and extracted by the implemented system can be treated as candidate terms for false-eliminating and optimizing combining with parameters of mutual information, log likelihood and domain dependency.

After a concise introduction of conotation,functions and general processs of textual document clustering, this paper expotiates the basic mechanism of a kind of improved K-means clustering based on initial centroids selection through minimum-maximum principle, designs its algorithm, implements the clustering system, and conducts several experiments taking 300 academic articles and relative characteristic words for instances, which prove the good performance of the algorithm proposed.

Book-recommendation is becoming the focus of an acquisition currently. Through the thorough analysis about advanced Book-recommendation models of university libraries in Hong Kong and Taiwan and detailed testing on bibliographic management system INNOPAC workflow, the comprehensive work pattern of Book-recommendation is summarized by Tsinghua University Library. In the end, formal Book-recommendation service based on the new flow is provided to readers in May,2008.
To solve the problem that readers are difficult to locate books on the shelf under the open-shelf service, a library shelf -location system based on software technologies of Flash，ASP and database is designed and implemented, and the shelf location is shown by intuitive graphical animation. Finally, taking library of Wenzhou Medical College as an example, an integration method of shelf-location system and OPAC system is introduced，which improves convenience of using library shelf-location system.
