Under the background of long-term preservation of digital resources and the construction of digital library developed by Tsinghua University, this paper studies the architecture of the open source system Fedora and compares it with the DSpace system. A digital resources management scheme based on Fedora is proposed, which provides some practical thoughts and methods for integrate storage and management of various digital resources.

This paper mainly introduces the goal, key technologies and applications of the Chinese rubbing repository at National Library of China. Under the guidance of standard specification, the metadata system, object data system and the application system are introduced. So far, more than 16000 pieces of ancient Chinese rubbings has been added into the repositories.

This paper introduces primarily a core Algorithm of Web topic information gathering system that we designed——the Forecast URL-Topic Algorithm. It bases on the related theories, analyzes the experiment data and discovers the topic of the hyperlink be decided by three factors primarily: the topic Similarity of the parent Web page, the topic Similarity of the (ex-)anchor text and the structure characteristic of Web graph, then puts forward the algorithm of Forecasting URL-Topic based on Web structure and Web page contents, the system evaluation result shows that the algorithm has great efficiency.
Text categorization is the foundation and core of text-mining, which has been a research focus of data-mining and Internet-mining in recent years. This article introduces domestic and foreign research situation on text categorization from the view of the nature and quantity. It analyzes the important factors affecting text categorization, and hope to find the common problem by evaluating summary of text categorization system and arithmetic. The goal of the article is to provide theory and fact for the optimization and improvement of text automatic categorization.
Because of the data quality in the bibliography, the retrieval quality of the bibliography database has been reduced in China. This paper has raise the method of how to solve this problem in current data environment, that is to establish the “Multiple Thesaurus of Classification” with the retrieval language compatibility between the “Chinese Library Classification”, “Library of Chinese Academy of Sciences Classification”, “Chinese Library Subject-Classification” and “Classification and code disciplines”, and use this thesaurus in the bibliographic retrieval system to improve the efficiency.
The paper categorizes and compares the existing approaches and languages according to the requirements of the service descriptions, concludes that only the Ontology-based service descriptions can provide enough expressiveness for an automatic service interacting; moreover, the paper proposes two concrete methods of using the Ontology languages in order to make up the limitations of the Ontology-based approach.
