The paper presents prototype of digitized music library, in which three key technologies are adopted of the digital, the retrieval and the availability of music on Internet. A module is designed that could transfer numerical musical notation of the Chinese folk music into the popular stave format. With this ability, a user could search a melody in numerical musical notation format even if he does not know any thing about it. In order to create a retrieval mechanism for a whole melody, some new ideas are discussed in resolving the problem.
