Based on the brief introduction to the origin and the development of human network, according to the main viewpoint of the theory, this paper explains the directive function of human network theory to the competitive intelligence activity. In the end, according to the competitive intelligence working characters, it analyses the component factor of human network and points out that only if these factors are taken into account well can human network provide intelligence work with better service.

Based on the introduction of the Shibboleth system’s characteristics, this paper chooses three application cases from three difference levels as follows: individual library, library consortium, and country level, and details their application environments, goals, issues, and corresponding solutions. In the end, the paper also discusses three topics related to the application of the Shibboleth system, including application mode, user management, and resource integration, and then gives some suggestions for libraries.

In this paper, a model for Ontology-based Open Knowledge Navigation (Onto_OKN) build is designed to solve the problem existing in current knowledge navigation.New navigation creation module, knowledge evaluation module and navigation management are the key modules and analyzed. The model provides an approach to interest-user collaborative building of knowledge navigation and multi-discipline knowledge represent, which mitigates the burden of knowledge developer and experts, improves the common understanding of users, ability of navigation collaboration and knowledge share to some extent, and then it provides efficient knowledge service to users.

This paper, which based on the structure and revelatory rules to Web page’s segmentation and the area semantic identification, realizes the understanding of Web page’s semantics, and presents the definition of the Web multimedia relevant text. Besides that, combining with its distribution characteristics, it has adopted three levels analysis method to carry on the extraction, including the individual level, the area level and the page level, thus realized the Web multimedia relevant text accurately to extract.
The paper presents an index system for evaluating network information resource and proposes a method for evaluating network information resource using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Bayesian Networks (BN) to effectively aggregate experts’ knowledge and experience to arrive at a reasonable final decision. Then the method is applied to evaluate information resource of a network station. The results show that the method is effective and reasonable.
Following Swanson’s knowledge discovery method from non- interactive literatures, the authors propose a literature-based discovery method by applying NLP techniques to finding biomedical Unified Medical Language System(UMLS) concepts. And then the authors introduce semantic filter system and develop a non- interactive medicial literature-based mining tool，using Swanson’s discovery of connecting migraine with a magnesium deficiency to validate. Experiments show that this method can recur Swanson’s research results very well and find more worthful medi-words.
According to the idea of broadcast-store grid, this paper designs a kind of news broadcasting system aiming at RSS news on the platform of data broadcasting system based on DVB-C structured in laboratory. The system collects RSS news from Internet timely, broadcasting transmission and incrementally downloading at the client port to provide users with abundant, fresh content. The experiment shows that realizing news broadcasting system on the platform of data broadcasting system based on DVB-C feasible and valid.
After discussing several wireless technologies and their applications, this paper explores the advantages of WAP technology in mobile information service, and then presents a technical infrastructure of the library mobile information service based on WAP which characterized in eliminating data redundancy. Thereafter, the paper also realizes a WAP-based OPAC system based on ALEPH500 system in Beijing Normal University Library. The prototype provides a feasible method for libraries to develop mobile information service.
An improved Apriori algorithm for query expansion is presented based on the thrice pruning strategy. This method can tremendously enhance the mining efficiency. After studying the limitations of existing query expansion，a novel query expansion algorithm of local feedback is proposed based on the improved Apriori algorithm.This algorithm can automatically mine those association rules related to original query in the top-rank retrieved documents using the improved Apriori algorithm, to construct an association rules-based database, and extract expansion terms related to original query from the database for query expansion. Experimental results show that our method is better than traditional ones in average precision.
In view of the problems existing in the traditional bibliography search,this paper briefly introduces the working principles and the aspects in favor of digital library of Ajax,studies the technical characteristics of Ajax,and reconstructs the bibliography search using the auto-completion and instant search function of Ajax,enhances the recall ratio and precision ratio as well as convenience and trustiness,improves the users’ experience. Taking the library in Nanjing Army Command College as an example, this paper expatiates the realizing process of new bibliography search.
